A recent press release from Activision stated that Enemy Territory Quake Wars will be released in Fiscal Year 2008 which begins on April 1st 2007.
We can expect the game to be released any time after that. Note that this is not a delay. The company believes that its fourth quarter results will be significantly impacted by higher legal expenses relating primarily to its internal review of historical stock option practices, including expenses relating to the previously announced informal SEC inquiry and derivative litigation, and its decision to move the release of Enemy Territory™: QUAKE Wars into fiscal year 2008.
Corparate considerations PAH Don't they realise we need this game NOW!!!

This will mark the first time that Id will develop a Wolfenstein away from the PC, but developer John Carmack is keen to put gamers at ease, claiming that "the Xbox 360 is the first console that I've ever worked with that actually has development tools that are better for games than what we've got for the PC."
TotalQuakewars.com is reporting that FilePlanet is goning to offer the demo for download to their subscribers, possibly even days in advance of the general public. No specific dates or info is given but still worth the click.
ComputerAndVideogames.com has two trailers or video tutorials. There is one for GDF and one for Strogg. Both show you good ingame action as well as some cinematic action to make your mouse hand twitch with anticipation even more.
Check them out by clicking on the pics below.

Was hunting around the net for some new news about ET:QW and found this nice bit of info for the level designers out there.
Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars features a tool suite for creating MegaTextures called MegaGen. Once the Artist or Level Designer has completed the artwork, MegaGen outputs two entirely unique 4GB textures - a diffuse map containing colour data, and a normal map - and then combines them into a single 5GB data file. This data file is then split into unique tiles suitable for streaming, and then compressed to reduce disk space usage.
The resulting unique MegaTexture is around 500MB in size. This represents a reasonable tradeoff between ETQW’s visual quality and disk space usage (maintaining a shippable size for the game).
